#DanceMadeMeDoIt Challenge

You’ve learnt the routine, now show us how YOU do it!

The Challenge:

Inspired by this year’s Emmy Award Winning choreographer Mandy Moore, we challenge you to create your own version of the National Dance Day routine, in your own way!  Get creative with the choreography, translating it to suit you: add your own style to it (ballroom, disco, tap, hip hop, kathak), simplify or make movements harder, turn it into a group piece with interesting formations, add your own choreography, film it in a creative way, in creative spaces – the possibilities are endless! Dizzy Feet encourages you to celebrate dance in your own way.

The Benefit:

You get to show us who you are through dance!  Not only are you helping Dizzy Feet celebrate dance in all its forms, you are also helping us raise awareness of the importance of dance as a creative outlet.  With your participation, we will show the nation that dance is a unifier that connects all people.  Where words fail, movement prevails!

Watch it. Create it. Challenge it. Share it.

  1. WATCH  and learn this years National Dance Day Routine choreographed by Mandy Moore
  2. CREATE your own version of the National Dance Day Routine and film it
  3. CHALLENGE someone to take on the #DanceMadeMeDoIt challenge, calling them out in your video and tagging/mentioning them in your social media posts
  4. SHARE to all your social media platforms using #DanceMadeMeDoIt #NationalDanceDay2018 and tag Dizzy Feet

To make things even easier, download the Triller App to create and submit your videos across social media without leaving the app! An easyway to create and edit your videos.

Once you’ve downloaded the app, select “Dancing” by Kylie Minogue from their music files, film and edit your video all within the app. Don’t forget to nominate someone else to take the challenge in your video! You can even personalize your videos with text, drawings and emojis. Once complete you’ll be able to share it via Triller to all your social media platforms using #Dancemademedoit or save to your camera roll.

We’ll be putting together a compilation video of all the challenges after National Dance Day. Can’t wait to see how many unique interpretations can be created from this year’s routine!

Do I have to wait to be challenged to create a video?

In the true spirit of National Dance Day, this challenge is for everyone to participate – so no need to wait to accept the challenge – just remember to pass it on.

When can I start submitting my video?

As soon as possible! Each year the Dizzy Feet Foundation creates and distributes an official National Dance Day routine for everyone to learn and share. This year’s video is available on June 28th, 2018. Watch the video, learn the choreography, make it your own, and share your video!  You can post your videos anytime between June 28th, 2018 – July 30th, 2018
