Tyler Maloney

Tyler Maloney is 16 years old and lives in Wyckoff New Jersey. His older sister, who started dance at a young age, was the first person who inspired him to dance. Tyler was always known for dancing but never took a class till the age of 6. At a young age he started studying different styles of dance including jazz, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, and later ballet. He competed in many local amateur jazz competitions for about 5 years and won many titles. After focusing more on ballet for a year with Petrov Ballet, he went to the American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive. Following the summer intensive, Tyler then went on to the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre where he trained for 4 years and completed all of the levels of the JKO Pre-Professional Division. He has danced as the Nutcracker Prince n ABT’s World Premiere of Alexi Ratmesky’s Nutcracker and has also performed at The Kennedy Center as well as being shown in ABT’s production of The Sleeping Beauty and Sylvia.
