5th National Dance Day in Southeast Texas

Lauren Froderman, winner of season 7 of So You Think You Can Dance returns to Beaumont, Texas for the 5th annual National Dance Day Event hosted by What's Happening Orange County. The main event is 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, July 28 in the lobby of Edison Plaza, 350 Pine Street, Beaumont, Texas 77701. This fun event is a mixture of dance performances from area dance groups and lots of audience participation with line dances and demonstrations. Lauren will lead a tutorial of the official Dance Day choreography. Come enjoy this fun free event for all ages! There will be a few vendors on site and Green Light Kitchen will be open with a limited menu for lunch and snacks. After the main event, Lauren will teach a beginner and intermediate contemporary class that does have a charge of $50, to cover expenses. Students will have a chance to talk with Lauren about her experiences on SYTYCD and life as a professional dancer. They will also get to take pictures  with her between the classes.
