Jeffrey Van Sciver
Jeffrey began his training in 2001 at the Los Angeles Academy of Fine Arts (LAAFA). Following his high school graduation in 2008, he attended LINES Summer Intensive Program and moved to New York to attend the Juilliard School. He returned to the San Francisco Bay Area to study in the BFA program at Dominican/LINES Ballet.In 2010 was one of 21 winners of the Princess Grace Awards and was named the 2011 Shenson Performing Arts Fellow by The San Francisco Foundation While continuing his studies with LINES BFA Progdram, Jeffrey also performs with the Copious Dance Theater.
Dance and other art forms for me always come from the inside out, teaching me so many more lessons of life other than just physical movement. My character as a human being has a lot to do with this natural talent that l’ve been blessed with, but I take what I know from the discipline of dance to both discover ways of overcoming obstacles and to combine the connection of life and art.
