Skyler Maxey-Wert

Skyler Maxey-Wert was born in Lancaster Pennsylvania. He began studying dance at the age of 5 at Lancaster School of Ballet, and is now a student at The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre. He has attended summer courses at ABT, the Cecchetti Counsel of America, and Katsbaan. Skyler has performed in The Nutcracker with Lancaster School of Ballet/The Donetsk Ballet, the Danbury Music Center, and ABT. He has also performed in Daniel Ulbricht’s Dancing Against Cancer Gala, and Nicole Javanna Johnson’s Grant’s Safari. He began choreographing in 2012. His works include Continuous, performed at the Lancaster Mennonite High School, gala Les Danses de L’Amour in Montana. Skyler is excited to perform the world premier of another of his choreographic works, entitled Down, this March at the Museum of Arts and Design.
