Travis Lake

Travis Lake is a passionate student, artist and educator. Currently pursuing a BFA, he lectures in the Department of Ballet and is a Senior in the Department of Modern Dance at the University of Utah. He has danced professionally for Odyssey Dance Theatre and the University of Utah’s Performing Dance Company. As a choreographer, his most recent commissions include The America First Utah Jazz Dancers, BYU Cougarettes, Youth America Grand Prix, Ballet West’s Summer Intensive and dance studios nationwide. Lake received choreography awards for every commissioned work in 2013. Also an accomplished composer, his music can be heard on iTunes. He has produced music for NBA dance teams, independent films, studios, university departments, national winning collegiate dance teams and the industries leading dance conventions. A sought after voice in contemporary dance and music, he is dedicated to continuing the development of dance with his distinct teaching methods. Travis hopes to choreograph for the Radio City Rockettes, dance for Nederland’s Dans Theater, compose a major motion picture and become a higher education professional to give back the inspiration and support that is given to him.
