Ticketed performances featuring dance artists from around the globe are only part of the excitement.  The Festival features free performances on our beautiful outdoor stage, talks & tours, exhibits, community events, classes, special events, and more. Visitors can explore the National Historic Landmark grounds, observe the dancers of The School at Jacob's Pillow, picnic and dine at our on-site restaurants, and visit our rare and extensive collection of archives dating back to the 1930's when Ted Shawn, an American pioneer of modern dance, founded Jacob's Pillow.
